How can I help
I support customers in guiding and overcoming EMC challenges in electronics design and testing. Many products fail EMC testing due to issues like inadequate PCB layout practices, shielding, wiring or lack of early-stage design considerations.
By engaging early in the development cycle, I help identify and reduce these risks through design reviews, practical EMC best practices and approaches to pre-compliance testing. I guide on how to improve PCB layout for signal integrity, filtering or shielding to mitigate EMI. During pre-compliance testing, I offer support to debug failures efficiently and suggest design modifications.
My goal is to help customers understand EMC testing and reduce costly re-tests, minimize time-to-market delays and ensure products meet regulatory standards with confidence.
Bio
Welcome - I’m Marek, an electronics design engineer with over 10 years of industry experience, including the past 5 years specializing in Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC).
I’m someone who’s always been drawn to how things work and took stuff apart — especially when it comes to electronics. I studied electronics in secondary school in Slovakia and while university didn’t end up being the right fit for me, that didn’t stop me from diving into tech. I started out in IT as a first job, but I always had that goal to get into electronics. After 5 years in IT, I got a break to be able to repair electronics. That eventually led me to move to the United Kingdom to assemble electronics and that opened doors to electronics design.
Recently I took the path of contracting in Japan to fully focus on electronics and compliance testing.
My electronics background spans the marine, industrial, IoT and automotive sectors, where I’ve pushed projects from design to successful delivery, with a focus on EMC compliance and cost concious hardware design.
I take a practical, problem-solving approach to every project — whether that’s preparing a product for certification, resolving interference issues, or improving the EMC performance of an existing design.
Need a practical and clear approach to your EMC or design challenges?
I’m here to help.
